What is the process used by Enviro Desalinators to filter water?

Why use Reverse Osmosis? What is the difference with just a tap filter?
Reverse osmosis enables the use of water that otherwise would be unsafe and/or contaminated for the purpose required.
How long does an Enviro Desalinator last?
An Enviro desalinator will give many years of good service, produced from quality 316 stainless pressure parts, triple duplex stainless steel pump and a high precision filtration system. The membranes will give on average 7000 thousand hours of use. Any pre-filtration will affect the service life of high-pressure pump and membranes.
How often do I have to service my Enviro Desalinator?
Filters are changed on a regular basis depending on organic and particle loading, a low-pressure gage is supplied as part of the system for this purpose. We recommend servicing it every 6 to 12 months.
Does the system come with a warranty? How long is the warranty and what does it cover?
Yes. 12 months Australian manufactures warranty. The warranty covers the replacement and/or repair of any system component that fails within the warranty period. Exclusions include normal operational wear and tear, incorrect power supply, abrasion of components caused by the operators neglect of filtration assembly.
Is the watermaker suitable to filter brackish water?
Yes, Enviro produces low pressure systems suitable for Brackish water with lower salt contamination.
Is Enviro suitable to filter salt/ocean water?
Yes, Enviro produces high pressure systems suitable for salt water with high salt contamination.
Is it safe to drink the water coming out of Enviro desalinators?
Yes, the process of desalination removes 99.9 percent of all salts and particles. Enviro does not only removes salt, but it also removes harmful metals, chemicals, and bacteria that could be in your water source. It removes bacteria by physically excluding them through the use of chemical processes.
How do you test if the water produced is safe to drink?
All water sources can be tested by our laboratory services. Our Enviro engineer then uses the laboratory data with a software to achieve the best water treatment for our clients.
Does the filtered water have a taste?
Desalination water contains little or no minerals or salts and has a very clean taste. The long-term health effects of drinking demineralized water or deprived mineral intake can affect our organs and functioning of our tissues, bones as also our immune system. Enviro desalinators can supply remineralization system for long-term drinking water. For smaller drinking needs a little mineral water can be mixed with drinking water.
Does Enviro remove bacterias/viruses/chemicals from the water?
Although it removes salt from the water, it does not remove other contaminants such as bacteria or viruses. Therefore, it requires additional stages of filtration and disinfection to make the water drinkable. The most common method to remove bacteria from water is by using chlorine; in fact, about 98% of public water systems use some form of chlorine for disinfection. Chlorine is frequently used because it is inexpensive and effective. UV is also used on smaller scale with desalination and/or filtration plants. Enviro offers both Chlorine dosing systems along with modern LED UV systems to achieve removal of bacteria and viruses.
